“My thanks to the Warwick Rotary for your generous grant in 2019, which help fund two children from Warwick to attend our summer camp for kids who are blind and visually impaired. The On the Move summer program is like no other camp in the area. Each day our campers go out and take on a series of a
Boys &that test their skills and abilities while also boosting their independence and self-confidence. The grant from the Warwick Rotary helped the campers to experience kayaking, ice skating, Treetop Adventures, rail exploring, and so much more!”

“House of Hope, CDC was able to purchase furniture for our two family transitional housing units, a two bedroom unit and a three bedroom unit, for formerly homeless families. The monies allowed us to fully furnish both units and make the units feel like home for the families occupying the units. Both families are very grateful to now have a place to call home. Thank you Warwick Rotary for helping to make this happen for these families. We would not have been able to do this without your support and generosity.”

“The Elizabeth Buffum Chace Center has been the recipient of many generous grants over the years from the Rotary Club of Warwick. Our requests are generally for items that are crucial to the safety of our clients but often fall outside of the interest of other funding sources. For example, Warwick Rotary has provided funding for new outside storm doors for our transitional houses, a dishwasher for our safe shelter and, most recently, lighting for the exterior of the building where clients come for counseling and support groups. The direct service programs that are more easily funded would not be as successful if we did not have the basics – the safety features – in place that are critical to victims of domestic violence as they navigate into lives that are free from abuse.”

“Cornerstone Adult Services provides adult day health services to frail elders and adults with disabilities, including those with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. Not only are we committed to providing exceptional nursing care and assistance with personal needs throughout the day, but just as importantly, we are committed to providing our participants with diverse, innovative programs that are proven to have beneficial outcomes with respect to improved physical, cognitive and emotional wellbeing. That is why we are so grateful to the Warwick Rotary Club for funding our Engaging Seniors Through Music program which allows us to offer music therapy sessions at both our Memory Care Center and Apponaug Day Center. Music therapy is used in many health care settings including memory specific stetting to promote wellness, reduce anxiety and stress, alleviate pain, improve memory and recall and promote overall wellbeing. These are exactly the outcomes we have witnessed firsthand! Thank you Warwick Rotary for making a difference in the lives of our participants!”
